What is ASDI?

Arizona Serenity in the Desert Intergroup — the groups of central and northern Arizona, working together on what none of us could do alone.

The Basics

Groups doing together what they can't do apart

When several groups form in an area, they soon realize they can better perform certain things together rather than separately. So the groups may form an intergroup that is directly responsible to the groups it serves.

For central and northern Arizona, that intergroup is called Arizona Serenity in the Desert Intergroup — ASDI.

What we do

All service is done by volunteer members

  1. Providing a central telephone number for information about OA and local meetings
  2. Maintaining a website and keeping groups informed about upcoming OA events
  3. Coordinating speakers, public information, and contact with the professional community
  4. Sending Reps and Delegates to regional assemblies and the World Service Business Conference
  5. Selling OA literature

Come to a business meeting

ASDI holds a business meetings at 1 pm AZ and PDT (2 pm MDT, 3 pm CDT, 4 pm EDT) on ZOOM every other month. Everyone is welcome: ZOOM LINK

The normal makeup of the monthly Intergroup Business Meeting consists of Intergroup Representatives from each OA group (meeting) in the area when possible, committee chairs, and the Intergroup Board which consists of a Chair, Vice Chair, Recording Secretary and Treasurer.

ASDI takes a portion of our 7th Tradition income and contributes to both Region 3 and World Service. Please give what you can.
